Decanter Centrifuge Product Description
The decanter centrifuge for wastewater sludge dewatering is a highly efficient mechanical separation device developed for treating sludge generated in wastewater treatment processes. It is widely used in municipal sewage plants, industrial wastewater treatment facilities, and environmental protection projects. This equipment utilizes centrifugal force to separate solid particles from liquid efficiently. Compared with traditional dewatering methods, it offers continuous operation, higher efficiency, and lower labor requirements.
The machine adopts a horizontal screw conveyor design, where sludge is fed into the rotating bowl. Under high-speed rotation, strong centrifugal force separates solids and liquids based on density differences. The clarified liquid is discharged from one end, while the dewatered sludge is conveyed and discharged by the screw conveyor. This process significantly reduces sludge volume and facilitates easier disposal and transportation.
The decanter centrifuge is designed with wear-resistant materials and advanced control systems to ensure long-term stable operation even under demanding conditions.

Working Principle
The decanter centrifuge operates based on centrifugal sedimentation.Sludge enters the rotating bowl through a feed pipe. As the bowl rotates at high speed, centrifugal force causes solid particles to settle against the inner wall of the bowl.
A screw conveyor rotates at a slightly different speed than the bowl, continuously pushing the settled solids toward the discharge end.Meanwhile, the clarified liquid flows out through adjustable weirs. This continuous process allows efficient separation of solids and liquids. The differential speed between the bowl and screw can be adjusted to optimize dewatering performance based on sludge characteristics.
