Working Principle
The screw press operates by feeding sludge into a rotating screw shaft surrounded by moving and fixed annular discs. As the screw rotates, sludge is transported forward while pressure gradually increases due to decreasing spacing. Water is discharged through gaps between rings, while solids are compressed into a dry cake at the outlet. Continuous ring movement prevents clogging and ensures self cleaning operation.
