Main features

• Twin-screw extrusion provides uniform cooking, shaping, and expansion of puffed snacks.
• Handles multiple grains, including corn, rice, millet, sorghum, and wheat for diverse products.
• Various mold designs allow shapes such as sticks, rings, spheres, stars, and novelty forms.
• Food-grade stainless steel construction ensures hygiene, corrosion resistance, and long-lasting durability.
• Adjustable screw speed and mold configuration provide flexible production and consistent product quality.

Working principle

Grain materials such as corn, rice, or millet are mixed with water and fed into the twin-screw extruder. Inside the barrel, high-speed screw friction, heat, and pressure cook the material. The cooked dough is then forced through mold cutters to form puffed snacks of different shapes and sizes. After extrusion, snacks can be flavored, coated, cooled, and packaged. Screw speed and mold design allow precise control over texture, expansion, and shape, producing consistent puffed corn and rice products.

Application scenarios

• Commercial puffed corn and rice snack production lines
• Small to medium-scale snack food factories and processing facilities
• Flavoring and coating of extruded puffed snacks with sweet, salty, or spiced options
• Pilot production, R&D, and product testing for new snack formulations
