Working principle

Raw water enters the softener system and flows through the resin tank containing ion exchange resin. During the softening process, calcium and magnesium ions in hard water are exchanged with sodium ions on the resin surface.

Through this ion exchange reaction, hardness minerals are removed from the water, producing softened water suitable for industrial applications. After continuous operation, the resin becomes saturated with hardness ions.

The system then initiates the regeneration cycle, where a sodium-based regenerant solution restores the resin’s ion exchange capacity. After regeneration, the system resumes normal operation and continues supplying softened water.
